Using Standard IP Lookup

With the Standard Lookup endpoint, you can look up one IPv4 or IPv6 address at a time. You can call this endpoint by attaching the IPv4 or IPv6 address to the base URL of the API. This endpoint gives you all the data points, including location, time zone, currency, connection, and flag information.

Using Bulk IP Lookup

To use the Bulk IP Lookup feature, you can append multiple IP addresses (separated by comma) to the base URL of the API.

The API response for bulk IP address requests contains IP data of one object for each IP address. So, if you want more than one IP data objects, you should use standard lookup.

Using Requester IP Lookup

Requester IP Lookup is a separate endpoint offered by ipstack. With this endpoint, you can detect the IP address from which the current API request is coming from.

Enabling Security Module

The security module can be used by users subscribed to the Professional Plus Plan to assess threats and risks originating from particular IP addresses.

Enabling Hostname Lookup

Ipstack API doesn’t provide hostname information by default. But with the hostname lookup, you can include the data about the hostname the requested IP address resolves to in your API result. You need to append the hostname parameter of the API and set it to 1.

How to Specify Response Language with ipstack?

With ipstack, you can also set a language other than English and get results in your desired language. Ipstack offers multiple languages, including English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, and more. 

To change the response language, you need to append the language parameter to your API request URL.
